John Petree

John Petree grew up on a tobacco farm in Rural Hall, NC.  After graduating from NC State University with a BS degree in Agriculture he went to work for the US Department of Agriculture with the Federal Crop Insurance Agency.  In 1986 he left to start Foothills Crop Insurance Agency where he has worked for 30+ years!  John & Angela have been married for 38 years and have three sons.

Jeremy Petree

Jeremy grew up in the Winston-Salem, NC area and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in biology from UNC Chapel Hill. He has been a licensed crop insurance agent since 2009 but has been helping with the family business since his teens. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, wood working, and eating good meals. He and his wife Danielle married 2019 and live near downtown Winston-Salem, NC. They have a 2 year old son named Cooper.

Cody Petree

Cody Petree grew up in Winston-Salem, NC. He graduated with a BA in Communications from UNC Wilmington in 2016. He received his Insurance license in 2018 but has been helping with the agency since his teens. He enjoys rock climbing, frisbee golf. Cody and his fiancé Amanda enjoy travelling, hiking, and photography.

Angela Petree

Angela Petree grew up in Wilmington,NC and graduated with a BS in Biology from UNC Wilmington.. Later she got her RN Nursing Degree and worked in Trauma ICU and ER at Baptist Hospital. She and John have been married since 1982 and have 3 boys and now one grandson. She helped John with the start of the agency and went full time in 1998. She enjoys traveling, music and reading.

Cindy V. Brown

Cindy Brown has been working with the Petree family since 2015. After graduating from Shelby High in Cleveland county she went on to receive a BFA from UNCG in Costume Design. After working for several years in costume management for theatres & theme parks decided to move closer to home for a career change. She earned her insurance agent’s license in 2018 and has enjoyed learning about agriculture and crop insurance through the Petree family. She is married with a 3 year old daughter, Alta.

Danielle Petree

Danielle is the newest addition to the Foothills Family! Originally from Fort Worth, TX, her family moved to Aiken, SC in her teens. Danielle received her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education in 2009 from USC Aiken and later moved to Greensboro, NC for work. During her 9 years of teaching, she's helped educate hundreds of 1st-4th graders. She resigned from teaching in 2020 to pursue a career in crop insurance but volunteers regularly to tutor former students and to support local teachers and their causes.
